Melissa Ferraro moved to Delaware in 2000 to attend the University of Delaware and study Criminal Justice. Mid-way in her studies, her interests changed and she switched to the Culinary School of Philadelphia. Here she found her calling.

After years of working in local restaurants, Melissa took the next step and started her own catering company in 2009. Six years later, she brought her passion to the people with the launch of her Outlandish Food Truck. On March 7th, 2019, her dream was fully realized, opening Sonora at The David Finney Inn, where she continues her journey, inspired by the tastes and flavors that excite and fascinate her the most.
